Mary C. Kuester, 94, of Girard, died peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Niles. Mary was born May 24, 1925, in Girard, Ohio, the daughter of Thaddeus M. and Catherine (Mularkey) Dillon II. Mary was a graduate of Youngstown State University, and had retired from Cardinal Mooney High School as a math teacher, having taught for over 20 years. She was a devoted and active member of St. Rose Church. Mary was an avid golfer and had belonged to the Hubbard Ladies League for many years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Thomas M. (Suzanne) Kuester, of Sharon and Jack J. (Kathy) Kuester, of Seattle, Washington, her grandchildren, Andrew E. (Megan) Kuester, of Washington DC, Emilie A. Kuester, of Seattle, Washington, Michael T. Kuester, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Christine Kuester, of Celebration, Florida, and several nieces and nephews that Mary thought fondly of. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. Kuester, who died October 16, 1987, her sister, Irene Prezioso and her brother, Thaddeus M. Dillon III. Private graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, where Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband.
