Mary Jane Lambert

Mary Jane Lambert, 96, of Girard, passed away suddenly on Thursday December 11, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 18, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of the late Pasquale and Lucy Garnet Gabriele. Mary Jane retired in 1978 from Packard Electric after 31 years as a solderer. She was a member of St. Rose Church, and formerly the Girard Federated Democratic Womens Club, Girard Senior Citizens, St. Rose Senior Citizens and the Multi-Generational Center.  She was an avid New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed playing cards, word jumbles and crocheting.  She is survived by her sons; Jerry (Helen) Lambert, with whom she made her home and Dr. James A. Lambert of Girard, sister Emma "Tootsie" Pitts of Girard and grandchildren; Marc (Michele) Lambert of Howland, Holly (Stephen) Bosch and Heather (Steven) Berling, both of Norwood, Ohio, Jennie (Matt) Weiss of Girard, Jerilynn (Steven) Irgang of Valdosta, Georgia and Joelle Lambert of Girard, ten great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, James J. Lambert, whom she married July 12, 1938 and died November 12, 1984, sister Adeline "Lena" Pirone and brothers Andrew "Gab" Gabriele and Patrick "Pat" Gabriele. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15th, 11:00 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.  Mary Jane will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
