Mary Ann Lessick, 80, of Girard, passed away on Wednesday June 11, 2014 at Masternick Home in New Middletown, Ohio. Mary Ann was born March 17, 1934 in Youngstown, Ohio,She was the oldest daughter of the late Frank and Mary Hripko Fabry. Mary Ann was a 1951 graduate of The Rayen School where she was a proud member of the Honor Society. She had worked as a secretary for Industrial Silica in Youngstown before becoming a wonderful wife and mother to her son. Mary Ann was a member of St. Rose Church. Over the years Mary Ann enjoyed Bowling, Polka Dancing, Playing Cards, Ceramics, Casino Trips to Atlantic City and Vacationing in Flordia. She prided herself on keeping a meticulous house, and she was famous for her homemade Cream Puffs. She had a special bond with her girlfriends for over 50 years known to them as "The Club". She leaves to cherish her memory her Loving and Devoted husband, Eugene {Gene} J. Lessick, whom she married May 30, 1955, her son Dr. James Lessick and his wife Catherine {Cathy} of Poland, Ohio, and grandson, YSU student Kyle Lessick. Mary Ann leaves her siblings sister Frances (Richard) Tkach of Boardman, brother Fred (Heather) Fabry of Ravenna. She is preceded in death by her sister Rita Mae (Orlando) Iacobucci, infant brother Frank Fabry Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, Niece Maria DeLucia, Nephew and Godson, Rick Tkach, and Niece Kitty Tkach {recently deceased}, to whom she was indebted for all there help over the last few years, and all her other Nieces and Nephews who loved her so much. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday June 16th, 11:00 am at St. Rose Church preceded by a prayer service at 10:30 am at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Mary Ann will be laid to rest at Resurrection cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that anyone wishing to make Contributions, do so by donating to the charity of their choice in memory of Mary Ann Lessick.
