Mary E (Corbin) Trimbur

March 29, 1938 — March 13, 2015

Mary E. Trimbur, 76, of New Middletown, Ohio, formerly of Girard, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Masternick Memorial Care Center. Mary was born March 29, 1938 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late Phillip S. and Virginia I Nagel Corbin. Mary was a graduate of Howland High School and Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor Degree of Arts, majoring in Elementary Education and French.  She had started her career in education as a teacher in the Euclid School System from 1960-61, then moved to the Warren City School System from 1961-1969. Mary married the love of her life, Richard S. Trimbur Sr. on July 1, 1961. After raising their children she went back to work in 1979 for the McDonald School System, first as a substitute, and then as a Librarian from 1985 until 2004 when she retired. Mary was a member of the First Christian Church, where she sang in the choir, and a former member of Girard Junior Women's Club.  She enjoyed going to Curves, bowling, crafts, playing Bridge with her friends and always feeding the birds. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Richard S. (Kim) Trimbur Jr. of Girard, Holly (Alan) Killick of Melbourne, Florida, and Robert J. (Kelly) Trimbur of Girard, and her grandchildren; Richard III, Ryan, Rebecca, Ariel, Aiden and Joelle.  Besides her husband who died February 17, 2003, she is preceded in death by her sister Jane Jackson and brothers; Phillip and William Corbin. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 28th, 4:00 PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 PM until the time of service. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Masternick Memorial Care Center in New Middletown and Hospice of the Valley for their kind and exceptional care that was given to their mother.
