Mary Ann Hripko

Mary Ann Hripko, 74, of Liberty Twp., died Wednesday March 14, 2012, after a brief courageous battle of cancer at Akron General Hospital. She was born February 19, 1938 in Yugoslavia, the daughter of the late Wendlin & Elizabeth Kesegi Haas. She had worked as an independent food demonstrator for many companies in major supermarkets in the surrounding area. She was a member of St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown . Mary Ann enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, George Hripko, whom she married February 22, 1958, daughters Michelle (John) Torella of Hubbard, Mona Lee (Jim) Wilkins of Cortland and Rene Marie (Daryl) Olszewski of Bazetta Twp., grandchildren Roxanne and Taylor Torella, Brianna Earich, Devin, Courtney and Jordan Fani and Logan Olszewski, son-in-law Tom Jacob of Liberty Twp, brother Joseph Haas of Austintown, and brother-in-law Fred Seitz of Campbell. Preceded in death was her daughter Kim Marie Hripko-Jacob and sister Katherine Seitz. A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held on Monday March 19, 2012, 10:00 AM, at St. Columba Cathedral preceded by a prayer service at 9:15 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 5-7PM at the funeral home.
