Mildred L Gerke

Mildred L. Gerke, 90, of Cortland, passed away Monday November 26, 2012 at Cortland Health Care Center.  She was born June 4, 1922 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William and May Hennell Harkleroad.   Mildred was a cook and baker for Cherry's Top of Mall at Eastwood Mall in Niles for 10 years and also for Sandelini's.  She attended Howland Glen Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Paul (Lana) Gerke of Girard and Charles (Rhonda) Gerke of Cortland, sister, Elsie Sheppard of Girard, five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles  E. Gerke whom she married June 4, 1948 and passed away August 12, 1987, daughter, Marsha LeBlanc, sister, Ruby Sparks and brothers, Elmer and Homer Harkleroad.
