Nancy Price

Nancy Price, 88, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Girard, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Advent Health Hospice Care in Orlando, Florida. 

Nancy was born April 14, 1936 in Van, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Wilmer and Ruth (Acree) Scott. 

Nancy was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald, Ohio, where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. Nancy loved to socialize with family and friends, and was a kind loving person to whomever she met. In her younger years, she enjoyed doing ceramics and bowling.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Shelda (John) Mattessich, of Orlando, Florida, and Robbie Price, of Erie, PA.; sister, Marie "Goldie" Peterson, of Titusville, Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, whom she married February 18, 1956 and died September 25, 2015; her son, William "Bill" Price; her sister, JoAnn Roberts; and her brothers, Max Scott, Rex Scott and Terry Scott; and daughter in law Christine Price.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13th, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald. Family and friends may gather on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.

Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Kerr Cemetery in Mineral Ridge, Ohio.
