O. Jean Sabino (Anderson) Jones

O. Jean Sabino Jones, 85, of Girard, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Jean was born March 12, 1930, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Adah E. Junkins Anderson. She had worked for the Ohio Leather Works from 1948-51, but for most of her life, Jean  was a stay at home wife and mother for her family. She was a member of St. Rose Church. Jean enjoyed all kinds of sports, especially watching High School football and playing boccee. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert Jones Sr, whom she married September 6, 1974, her son, Peter J. (Sue) Sabino, of Brookfield Twp., step-daughter Christine (Gary) Staffrey, of North Jackson, Ohio and step-son, John (Sara) Jones, of Phoenix, ten grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, John Sabino, her daughter, Carol Jean Barrett, and brothers George, Robert and Ray Anderson.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 15th, 11:00 AM, at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 10:30 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Jean will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
