Patricia "Pat" Bartfai

Patricia Susan Bartfai, “Pat," of Girard, Ohio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 10, 2025.

Patricia was born in Girard, Pennsylvania on January 22, 1944 to Douglas and Virginia Bostwick, and graduated from Rice Ave Union High School in 1961. In 1966, she married Alex Andrew “Andy” Bartfai. She started her career at Copes-Vulcan in Girard, and finished her career at Van Air Systems in Lake City.

After raising their family in Girard, PA, they moved to Girard, OH to relax and enjoy life.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Andy Bartfai to whom she was married to for 55 years; along with her parents Douglas and Virginia “Vee” (Barrante) Bostwick, and her sister Connie (Paul) Peterson.

She is survived by her daughters, Danielle (Bill) Robinson of Howland, Ohio and Nicole (Tony) Nokovich of Camp Hill, PA; two grandchildren, Erik Joseph and Molly Virginia Nokovich; a sister, Linda (James) McCarthy along with a nephew and several nieces.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed time at home with family and friends and loved games, puzzles and playing cards with her neighbors. Pat was an avid animal lover and over the years had dogs, Seb & Cootie, to share that love with. Pat was at her best when she cared for others. Her selfless dedication to helping those she loved will be her legacy.

Family and friends will gather at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard at 1:00PM on Sunday, April 13th, with a service to follow at 3:00.
