Patricia "Eileen" Spisak, 84, formerly of Girard, passed away Saturday October 27, 2012 at Park Vista Retirement Community. She was born August 5, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of the late Patrick Michael and Anna Katherine Thedka Kidney. Eileen owned and operated the Belmont Dairy Queen with her daughter Susan and had just celebrated their 50th anniversary at that location.. She graduated from Girard High School in 1946, and was a charter member of the Dairy Queen Operators Association (DQOA) for 43 years, Northeastern Store Owners (NESO) 50 years and the International Dairy Queen (IDQ) 50 years. Eileen loved to cook and travel, her favorite places to travel were Las Vegas and to Ireland to visit her family there. She is survived by her children, Timothy D. (Patty) Roth of Okmos, Michigan; daughter, Susan (Mark Fox) Birkholtz of Liberty Twp., stepsons, Dennis Spisak and his sons,& Michael Spisak; grandchildren, Julie, William, Bonnie, Maggi and Timothy M. and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Makenzie, Courtney, Morgan, Sydney, Hunter, Quentin, Nolan, Sara, Sylvie, Sydney, Samantha and Tyler F.. She was preceded in death by her first husband Forest Dale Roth and second husband Michael Spisak. Private Services were held today. Arrangements were entrusted to Blackstone Funeral Home. Interment Girard City Cemetery. The family request that material contributions be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) and CCFA Crohn's disease (www.ccfa.org).
