Pauline J. Wilkerson 97, of Girard, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday July 27, 2020. Pauline was born January 1, 1923 in Girard, a daughter of Philip and Mabel (Parke) Clinton. Pauline had worked for Dr. DeBlazio's office as a receptionist for 13 years, but for most of her life she cared for her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Girard Senior Citizens. She had been a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed doing ceramics and loved traveling all over Europe. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Melody (Lewis) Cutter, of Girard, Charlene F. (Leonard Fornish) Wilkerson, of Columbus and Dale A. (Cleo) Wilkerson, of McDonald, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Besides her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight M. Wilkerson, whom she married April 8, 1944 and died April 7, 1979, her son, Terry J. Wilkerson, sister, Beatrice Olin and brother, George Clinton. Private services will be held on Thursday at Blackstone Funeral Home and Pauline will then be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery next to her husband. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
