Phyllis M (Creed) Berresford

Phyllis M. Berresford, 74, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Monday July 7, 2014 at the Hospice House. Phyllis was born October 2, 1939 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Irl and Velma Taylor Creed.  She received her business degree from Youngstown College, and then devoted her life to taking care of her family.  Phyllis taught Junior Church, Sunday School and played the organ and piano for Christ Memorial Baptist Church of Warren and Bible Baptist Temple of Campbell, where she was a member for  29 years.  She loved to cook, bake and sew.  She is survived by her children Larry Berresford of California, Carol (Kevin) Masimore of Hubbard and Irl (Gloria) Berresford of Warren, six grandchildren, triplets Melissa, John and Franklin Masimoe and Mitchel Masimore, Gianna and Santino Berresford, sister Clarabelle Toth of Liberty Twp. and three nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gerald L. Berresford, whom she married  Sept. 15, 1962 and died April 28, 2014.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11th, 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
