Rebecca "Beki" M. Mohn

Rebecca M. "Beki" Mohn, 57, of Girard, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019, at Hospice House in Poland. Beki was born August 24, 1961, in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Karl and Frances (Turner) Kistler. Beki was a devoted wife, and mother to her children. She had worked for the Girard Prospect Elementary and Intermediate School, as a lunch aide, she truly loved her job as she loved to work with the children of Girard. Some children knew her as “Mrs. Mom” Beki loved the holidays especially Christmas. She enjoyed spending time with her children, watching sports, going shopping and vacationing in Myrtle Beach. She was a member of Niles First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was Youth Club director. She had belonged to the Girard PTO and band boosters club. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Michael Mohn, whom she married June 20, 1987, her daughter, Sarah (James) Cheff, of Austintown, sons, Samuel Mohn, Nathaniel Mohn and Andrew Mohn, all of Girard, and her sisters; Maebeth (Tim) Neher, of Vermilion, Ohio and Karlene (David) Durisko, of Wexford, PA., several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Joanne Kistler. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, 11:00 AM at Niles First United Methodist Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Church. Beki will be laid to rest at Jackson Township Cemetery. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley.
