Rev. Paul E. Ague, 84, of McDonald, went home to heaven to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born August 13, 1929 in Girard, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Caroline Jones Ague. He served the Lord in Christian ministries for 62 years. He pastored Boardman Baptist Church from 1959-1962. In 1968 he founded the First Baptist Church of Howland and pastored the church for 25 years. Since 1993 he has been involved in Romanian Missions. He is a member of Boardman Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Lois Jean Benson, whom he married November 22, 1951, daughter, Lois J. (Ronald) Starcher of Girard, son, Paul E. (Elizabeth) Ague Jr., of San Deigo, CA, Son-in-law, Frederick Ambrose, sister, Mary Margaret Hatt of Michigan, brother, William Ague of Girard, five grandchildren, Shelly Harms, Sara Volinchak, Evan Starcher, Kyle Ague and Paul Ague III and seven Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Ambrose, sister Dorothy Paschke and brothers Owen Ague, Harold Ague Jr., John Burns and Robert Burns. Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 16th, 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Rev. Dennis Massie from the Boardman Baptist Church will be officiating the service. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-7pm and also on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Paul will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, Pa.
