Richard Shontz Sr.

Richard Shontz Sr., 72, of Girard, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024 in the comfort of his home with his beloved daughter by his side.

Richard was born July 29, 1952 in New Castle, PA a son to the late Ralph Shontz and Mary JoAnn (Murphy) St.Clair. 

Richard loved his country and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps; Vietnam.

He was an electrician and worked various jobs throughout his life. A Jack of all trades. 

Richard enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, was a classic car/truck fanatic, had a love for his family, German Shepherds (Sprocket and Dozer), friends and neighbors.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Vikki Shontz; son, Richard Shontz Jr.; sister, Barbara Azar (Joe); grandchildren, Joseph Jones, Alexa Green and Heath Shontz; a host of nieces and nephews; cousins; aunt and his German Shepherd, Dozer.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Moore. 

In accordance with Richard’s wishes there will be no services.
