Robert W. Norton, 74, of Girard, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Liberty Health Care Center. Robert was born on February 11, 1942, in Altoona, PA, the son Robert L. and Marian Miller Norton. Robert graduated from Ursuline High School in 1960 and attended Youngstown State. He was an Army veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War. Robert worked as a butcher and retired from IGA and Sparkle markets. He was a member of St. Rose church and the Knights of Columbus. Robert enjoyed bowling and golfing, but mostly he loved his time spent with his family and friends. He is a survived by his sisters; Patricia Magill of McDonald, Ilene (Anthony) Fabian of McDonald and Marilyn Norton of Girard, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Fr. Michael Norton and brother-in-law Dennis Magill. Private services will be held at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
