Rocky B Sperati

Rocky B. Sperati, 84, of Girard, died Friday September 19, 2014 at Vista at the Ridge Nursing Home. He was born August 16, 1930 in Campbell, Ohio the son of the late Michael and Mary DeFete Sperati. He worked for Hilhubble in Girard and retired from General Motors in 1995 as an assembler for 25 years. He was a former President of the McDonald Football Association and attended the Girard First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening & bowling. He leaves to cherish his wife the former Patricia Jean Fowler whom he married November 2, 1950, sons, Rocco (Leslie) Sperati of Girard and Michael Sperati of Youngstown, daughter, Gwen (Carl) Arthur of Warren, daughter-in-law Jennifer Sperati of McDonald, six grandchildren, William Charles Sperati, Joe Sperati, Sara Slattery, Adam Arthur, Connor Sperati and Matthew Sperati and five great-grandchildren Paige, Julian, Hannah, Lucas and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his son William Sperati, six sisters and six brothers. Private Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday. Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 6-8pm at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family request that any material contributions be made to St. Jude in memory of Rocky.
