Rose M Zaubi

Rose M. Zaubi, 91, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Shepherd of The Valley Nursing Home, in Liberty Twp. Rose was born February 14, 1929, the daughter of Matt and Anna Zaubi.  Rose was a 1946 graduate of Girard High School and attended Youngstown College. She retired in 1981 from  US Steel McDonald Works, as an accounting Clerk, after 30 years. She was a member of St. Rose Church, SNPJ Lodge #643, Friends of the Girard Free Library, Historical Society, Old Timers Club, American Mutual Life Association and Catholic Alumni Club. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, reading, concerts, plays, and entertaining and socializing with family and friends. She is survived by her niece, Joanna Sanders-Neary (Michael), of Chicago, her brother in law, Robert Sanders and numerous cousins in the US and Slovenia. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Sanders. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 27, 11:00 A.M.  at St. Rose Church, where family will receive family and friends at 10:00 until time of service. Rose will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery. Any memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose Church or for Social Studies at Girard High School, in Rose's memory.
