Rosemary Lorraine Davis, 91, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Hospice House. Lorraine was born July 27, 1924 in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of John and Bernice Alwood Escover. Lorraine graduated from Brookfield High School in 1942. She married Leroy (Roy) Davis on September 30, 1944. After living in Brookfield and Youngstown, they built a home in Hubbard, Ohio in 1960. Following Roy’s death, Lorraine moved to Woodland Park Apartments in McDonald, Ohio to be near her daughters. As her health declined, Lorraine relocated to Shepard of The Valley Assisted Living in Niles, Ohio. Lorraine had been a long time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and joined Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish after her move to McDonald, Ohio. Lorraine was employed as a telephone operator before starting her family. She was a homemaker who enjoyed NASCAR races with Roy, camping, reading and watching Dancing With The Stars. Lorraine’s greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her daughters Cynthia (James) Pieton of McDonald, Ohio; Cathleen Harbiniak of Brecksville, Ohio; and Denise (John) Dugan of McDonald, Ohio. Lorraine’s surviving sisters are her twin sister Patricia Louise Reichart of Pennsylvania; Margaret (Harry) Bartolin of Florida; Bernice Stillings and Rita Motter of California. Grandchildren are Kevin (Andrea) Pieton; Jason (Eleanor) Pieton; Michelle Shapiro, Adam Hrybiniak; Andrew Dugan, David (Kristina) Dugan and Jerald Dugan. Great grandchildren are Sofia, Twins Jack and Ben Pieton; Alexis, Khloe and Ellie Pieton; and Ayla Shapiro. Besides her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Roy Davis, who died August 27, 2008 and an infant brother John Patrick Escover. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Brookfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of The Valley in Lorraine’s name.
