Rudolph Blazina

Rudolph Blazina, 92, of Girard, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Rudolph was born November 7, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Michael and Mildred (Mikaluti) Blazina. He had worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. for 32 years retiring as a blooming mill roller. Rudolph was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Old Timers Club. Rudolph was a Navy veteran serving his country during WWII.  He enjoyed fishing, especially his fishing trips with his brother-in-law. He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Marian) Blazina of Kent and his sister, Agnes Schnarrs of Girard. Rudolph is preceded in death by his wife, Emilia M. (Zapka) Blazina, whom he married August 20, 1950 and died October 18, 2014, his sisters; Ann Picchock, Helen Straub, Barbara Horvatich and Margaret Blazina and brothers; David, Larry, Joseph, Michael and Matthew. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 15th, 11:00 AM at Girard City Cemetery Chapel.
