Together Again Russel and Patricia Miller

Russel Miller, 80, of Girard, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, at Continuing Healthcare surrounded by the love of his family. 

Russel was born September 21, 1943 in Kingwood, West Virginia, a son to the late Worley and Violet (Spiker) Miller. 

Russel had a commendable career in the manufacturing and excavation sectors, contributing his skills to M & M Manufacturing and Foust Excavating. He was a member of Local Union #245.

Russel was a man of many interests. He loved the great, finding joy in hunting and fishing. His gardening skills were well-regarded, as he took pride in canning vegetables from his own harvest. Above all, Russel cherished the time spent with family and friends, often enjoying a cold beer while sharing stories and laughter together. His warm spirit and camaraderie will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Russel is survived by his children: Larry Mohn of New York, Dorenda Miller of Niles, Marie (Daniel) Mathews of Niles, and Russel Miller of Illinois. He also embraced grand daughter, April Mohn as his own. He is fondly remembered by his siblings, including Sandy Fazenbaker of Morgantown, WV, Connie Dewitt of Albright, WV, John (Edith) Spiker of Tunnelton, WV, Worley (Tammy) Miller of Kingwood, WV, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

Russel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Miller, who he married January 15, 1966 and lived happily until her passing on June 11, 2019, his parents, his brothers Junior and Delmas Miller, and sisters, Bonnie Kohn, Maxine Carr, Debbie Miller, Freda Santangelo, Geraldine Larue, Ruby Sigley, Floss Simms and Pamela Miller.

Friends and family may gather at Blackstone Funeral Home on Saturday September 7th with calling hours from 2:00-4:00PM with a service at 4:00.
