Ruth E. (Rosenberg) Forte

Ruth E. Forte, 87, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown. Ruth was born August 27, 1930 in Girard, the daughter of Guy and Ruby Rosenberg. Ruth worked as a salesperson for Sears in the Eastwood Mall for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed bowling, in her younger years, going to the YMCA for the aquacise classes and was an avid walker. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family,and every Sunday shopping with her daughter and loved her dog Rocky. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Judith (David) Martin of Girard, Richard Forte of Girard and David Forte of Niles, her grandchildren; Erika Forte, Alison Martin, Heather (Cody) Fujan and Jennifer (Tom) Gillespie, and her great-grandchildren; Alex, Lauryn, Brandon, Chloe, Landon, Genevieve and Mary. Besides her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Bundy and her brother Richard Rosenberg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 10:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Ruth will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
