Ruth Theresa Skufca Beard

Ruth Theresa Skufca Beard, 80, of Niles, died Saturday December 31, 2011, at Mercy Medical Hospital in Canton, Ohio. She was born March 30, 1931, in Girard, Ohio the daughter of the late John & Mary Bevec Skufca. She was a lifetime member of SNPJ. Ruth was a devoted wife and mother. She loved gardening, traveling, camping, and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Saul of Pickerington, Ohio and Paula Ceroli of Massillon, Ohio, five grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Saul and Nicole Saul of Pickerington, Ohio, Shawna Ceroli of Akron, Paul Ceroli and Alyssa Ceroli of Massillon, her niece, Kathleen Lohse, whom she was very close to, of Hollandale, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. She is now reunited with her husband Paul George Beard whom she was married to for over 53 years, sisters, Alice Hill and Olga Miller, brothers, William and Edward Skufca. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday January 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Interment will be held at Girard City Cemetery. Family request in lieu of flowers material contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
