Ruth Ann Forsythe

Ruth Ann Forsythe, 85, of Liberty, formerly of Girard, passed away on Saturday morning January 15, 2022 at Liberty Health Care Center. Ruth Ann was born September 21, 1936 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Leslie E. and Marie (Bentz) Forsythe. She was a 1954 graduate of Girard High School and a graduate from Youngstown College, with a degree in Education in 1958. She had worked for 38 years as a third and fourth grade teacher for Cleveland Elementary School for the Youngstown School Systems retiring in 1995. Ruth Ann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and sang in the church choir. She is survived by her loving sister, Beverly Meuser of Girard; sister in law Beverly (Baker) Forsythe of Hermitage, Pa.; niece Kim (Kirk) Jordan of Hadley, Pa.; nephew James L. (Linda) Forsythe of West Middlesex, Pa., a great nephew James W. Forsythe; great niece Jessica (Mark) Argenziano and three great-great-nephews, Marshall, Mason and Maddox, all of Pa. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother James E. Forsythe and brother in law Charles Meuser. Private services were held at Blackstone Funeral Home with Pastor Phonda Gallagher officiating. Ruth was laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery. The family would like to thank Liberty Arms and Liberty Health Care Center for all their loving care that was given to Ruth.
