Samuel Finelli

Samuel Finelli, 64, of Girard, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his family. Samuel was born May 19, 1958 in Youngstown, OH, a son to the late Pat and Mary (Fiordelise) Finelli. He was a 1976 graduate of Ursuline High School and received his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. Samuel had worked for Gateways to Better Living and  owned and operated PF Landcorp.

Samuel was a devoted husband and father. He was a true family man and cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. Samuel was a hardworking man and took great pride in being a good father and provider for his family. He loved nothing more than spending time with his sons and watching his granddaughter Louisa grow. In his free time Samuel enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching the Cleveland Browns. Samuel will be remembered as a kind and caring man who put his family first.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Helen (Gilliland) Finelli, who he married August 11, 1984; his two sons, Marshall Finelli of Findlay and Harrison Finelli of Girard; granddaughter, Louisa Finelli; sister, Sarah Pearson of Girard; sister in laws, Amy (Frank) Sobnosky and Susan (Brian) Joyce; along with nephews, Frank Sobnosky Jr., Patrick(Lacey) Pearson and Michael(Taylor) Pearson.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, February 27th, 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church in Girard with calling hours held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Samuel will be laid to rest at Brookfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart: 50 Warner Rd. SE, Hubbard, OH 44425.
