Seymour R. Williams, 84, of Girard, died Sunday February 23, 2014 at Northside Hospital. He was born October 5, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Seymour R. and Beatrice Evans Williams Sr. He made his career in the military serving in the Navy for 4 years and the Airforce for 16 years as a medic. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Girard. He leaves his sisters, Suzanne Davis and Helen Shea, both of Girard, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte Jones and Isabel Williams and brother Thomas R. Williams. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 28th at 2:00 pm at Blackstone Funeral Home with military honors. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 pm till time of service. The family requests any material contributions be made to their charity of choice in Seymour's memory. Seymour will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
