Sheryl Ann Meigs (Slater), 63, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her beloved family by her side after a courageous one-year battle with cancer.

After earning her degree from The Ohio State University, Sheryl passionately served as an occupational therapist for over 30 years at the Trumbull County Educational Service Center and Liberty Local Schools, where her commitment to nurturing the potential of her students helped countless children.
Sheryl was a passionate individual who cherished outdoor activities, enjoyed observing nature and God’s creation, and embraced the joys of traveling with her family. Most importantly, she held a deep affection for her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She lived her life honoring and pursuing her Lord and Savior, spreading her light, joy, and encouragement to everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gregory Meigs, who she married October 3, 1987; her loving mother, Rebecca Slater; her children, Kelli (Jeffrey) Palmer and David (Rebecca) Meigs; siblings, Traci (Stephen) Bulen, Matthew (Tabatha) Slater, Mark (Vickie) Slater, and Michael (Jennifer) Slater; and grandchildren, Logan, Peyton, Everett, and Harper.
