Stella J (Jurczak) Lipski

Stella J.Lipski, 94, of Girard, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016, at St. Joseph's Health Center. Stella was born August 3, 1922 in Ambridge, PA., the daughter of Michael and Kathryn (Mastich) Jurczak. Stella had worked for Quaker Dry Cleaners, Norman Hat Co. and McKelvey's, all in Youngstown many years ago. She was a member of St. Rose Church, and a former member of Girard Senior Citizens and their card club, the Eagles Auxillary, R.E.A.C. and the V.F.W. Auxillary in Girard. She was an avid reader, a world traveler and an excellent polish cook. Stella is survived by her sons, Carl H. (Stephanie) Lipski of Brookpark, Ohio and Michael (Dharl) of Vienna, Ohio, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Helen Makowski and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dear friend Peggy, who was always there for her. Stella is preceded in death by her husband, Carl, whom she married June 8, 1940 and died May 1, 1980, sisters, Anna Teday and Mary Carlson, brothers, John, Frank and Joe Jurczak, and a grandson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10th, 12:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Stella will be laid to rest next to her husband at Girard City Cemetery. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice in memory of Stella.
