Sylvia J. Zickefoose Corsale, 85, of Girard, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday August 22, 2012 .  Sylvia was born March 23, 1927 in Buckhannon, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Omar and Vada Lane Heatherly.  She was a homemaker most of her life and had previously worked for the Card and Candle Shop in Girard.  Sylvia was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Niles.  She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and playing cards.  She is survived by her children Pat (Paul) Timm of Summerfield, Florida, Sheri (Paul) Preketes of Novi, Michigan, Debbie (Tom) Darling of Onsted, Michigan and Howard (Robin) Zickefoose of Girard, step-children, Nancy Wilkerson and Mike (Mary Jo) Corsale of Austintown, brother Richard Heatherly of Buckhannon, WV, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death was her first husband Howard Zickefoose who died April 14, 1971, and her second husband Dominic Corsale whom she married Sept. 10, 1973 and died October 13, 2002, sister Louise Marsh, brother Ernest Heatherly and a granddaughter Brandy Yettaw. Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 26, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the New Hope United Methodist Church with calling hours one hour prior to service at the church.  The family request that memorial contribuations be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church 21 Fairview Ave. Niles, OH 44446.  Interment will be at Cadillac Cemetery in Westland, Michigan.  Arrangements were entrusted to Blackstone Funeral Home.  Visit blackstonefuneralhome.com to view this obituary and send condolences to the Zickefoose Corsale family.
