Theresa D Gresley-Martin

Theresa D. Gresley-Martin, 83, formerly of Liberty Twp., died Tuesday September 20, 2011 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Niles.  She was born December 12, 1927 in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer & Theresa McCarthy Tragresser.  Theresa was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith.  She was a former member of the Dewitt McConnell American Legion Post 235 ladies auxiliary, Fraternal Order of the Girard Eagles #2172 ladies auxiliary and McDonald Tops.  Theresa is survived by her children, Donald W. (Dianne) Gresley Jr. of Cortland, George E. (Sheryl) "Babe" Gresley of Liberty Twp., John E. (Fran) Gresley of Australia, and Joseph L. (Sherri) Gresley of Florida, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Donald W. Gresley Sr. whom she married January 30, 1946 and died August 13, 1980, her second husband Zack Martin whom she married August 25, 1990 and died February 20, 1999, daughter, Darlene Virtue who died April of 2011, and grandson Christopher Virtue who died April of 1982.  Funeral Services will be held at Blackstone Funeral Home on Friday September 23, 2011 at 10:30 AM where family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4-7 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at St. Stephens Cemetery in Niles.  Family request material contributions be made to the Shepherd of the Valley in Niles, Ohio.
