Thomas J Koniowsky Sr.

Thomas J. Koniowsky Sr., 64, of McDonald, passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. He was born February 10, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of George and Helen Hlywa Koniowsky. Tom retired in 2005 from Rogers Lumber Co., in Niles, after 36 years as a shop manager. He served in the National Guard.  Tom enjoyed woodworking, shopping, camping and playing the slot machines, but his grandchildren were always his greatest joy. He was an avid nascar fan and Cleveland Brown's fan to the end, and loved his dog Cindy. He is survived by his wife, the former, Debby Bundy, whom he married March 20, 1971, his mother Helen (Marvin) Berube of Florida, daughter, Melissa (Chuck) Hall of McDonald, son, TJ (Lisa) Koniowsky Jr., of Mineral Ridge, sister, Diana (Tom Olsen) Len of Florida, brother, Timothy (Debbie) Koniowsky of Austintown and grandchildren; Christopher, Madison, Thomas III, Colin and Siera. Besides his father, he is preceded in death by his grandson Cole. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 10:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Tom will be laid to rest at Green Haven Memorial Cemetery.
