Thomas T Spain

Thomas T. Spain, 67, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at his home, while surrounded by his family. Thomas was born July 11, 1950, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Lena (Curco) Spain.

Thomas was a 1969 graduate of Western Reserve High School. Prior to retiring in 2008, he was a UAW Safety Representative for General Motors. He was a member of UAW Retirees Local #1112. He was an avid walker with interests including golf, poker nights, and spending time with his family.

Thomas leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Linda (Mariano) Spain, whom he married May 30, 1970, his sons, Joseph (Beth) Spain of Columbus and Jason (Melanie) Spain of Boardman, his daughter Melissa (Chris) Votino of Howland, his sisters Mary (Earnie) Nicholas of Howland, Rose (Sam) Crank of Florida, JoAnn (Robert) Price of Newbury, and Thelma Spain of Howland, his brother John (Maryann) Spain of Niles and his six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 28th, at 10:00 am at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5:00- 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
