Venetta M. Orechoneg, 88, of Niles, formerly Liberty Twp., passed away Sunday January 5, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley. She was born March 21, 1925 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of the late Edward Spencer and Lily Green Salmons. She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed living in Englewood, Florida for many years. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Charles) Perko of Girard and son, William (Kelly) Orechoneg of McDonald, brother, Edward J. Salmons of Florida, two grandchildren, Colleen Fritz and Wendy Demetrios and six great-grandchildren, Jarrod, Jake, Hadlie, Alexa, Katie and Michael. She was preceded in death by her husband William Orechoneg whom she married December 7, 1943 and passed away on March 20, 2009, and sister, Margo Hall. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 9th, 11:30 AM at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Belmont Park Cemetery.
