Vernon D. "Rusty" Miller, 91, of Vienna Twp, died Wednesday August 28, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born January 24, 1922 in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Robert and Myrtle Anthony Miller. Rusty worked for Conrail Railroad as a conductor for 31 years retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Church in Girard. He was an army veteran of WWII and enjoyed golfing and bowling. Rusty is survived by his children Wayne (Rebecca) Miller of Cortland, Janet (Ken) Hogue of Liberty Twp., and Trudy (Ray) Beekman of Inver Grove Heights, MN, grandsons Stephen and Daniel Miller and Ken Hogue. He is preceded in death by his wife, the former, Helen F. Treager, whom he married April 15, 1950 and died Nov. 9, 2010, sister Helen Truitt and brothers Clair, Frank and Keith Miller. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Evangelical Church. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Interment will take place at Niles Union Cemetery.
