Victoria Theresa Mientus, 88, of Youngstown, formerly of McDonald, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Park Vista. Victoria was born November 13, 1930, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Alexandra (Babel) Krzysiak. Victoria retired from Commercial Intertech. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, in McDonald. Victoria was an avid cross work puzzle enthusiast with her favorate being those in the Youngstown Vindicator. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing and especially Polka dancing. Mom always cherised family, friends and neighbors. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Bernard (Ann) Mientus, of Painesville, Ohio, Michael (Amy) Mientus, of Illinois and Teresa (Roger) Gober, of Niles, a sister, Bertha, grandchildren; Dr. Emily Wickersham (Miles), Miranda Wesley (Matt) and Lynnette Mientus and a great-grandson, Elijah Alan. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Martin J. Mientus, who died on September 30, 1996 . The family will receive relatives and friends at 12:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service from 2 pm to 3 pm, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Victoria will be laid to rest in All Souls Cemetery, in Chardon, next to her husband. In lieu of flowers please make a financial contribution to a food bank of your choosing in your community or to " Hospice Ohio Living " who were so helpful to our family.
