Violet G. (Flaviano) Kish

Violet G. Kish, 90, of McDonald, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Continuing Health Care Center, in Mineral Ridge.  Violet was born January 29, 1929 in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Rocco and Vera (Vechione) Flaviano.  She had worked for Woolworth's, in Niles, and Packard Electric, but for most of Violet's life she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Violet was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, in Niles. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and loved her garden of beautiful flowers. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Nick (Gretchen) Kish, of McDonald, sister, Yolanda Montefort, of Niles, grandchildren, Sherri Treadway and George Dobbs, and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Kish, whom she married September 3, 1949 and died December 27, 1981, her daughter, Georgeanne Dobbs, her daughter-in-law Terri Kish, sisters, Mary Bufwack and Laura Biviano, and brothers, Rocco Flaviano and Anthony Flaviano. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18th, 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Violet will be laid to rest at Niles Union Cemetery next to her husband.
