Virgil Ernest Heslop

Virgil Ernest Heslop, 77, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Liberty Health Care Center. Virgil was born August 13, 1939 in Harisville, Pennsylvania, the son of the late George and Ruth (Vandyke) Heslop. Virgil worked at General Motors as maintenance in Lordstown for 30 years and retired in 1996. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty- six years, Carol (Neeley) Heslop, whom he married November 5, 1960, his children; Debbie (Jerry) Heavener of Austintown, Jeffrey (Tammy) Heslop of Liberty, Chris (Lisa) Heslop of Mineral Ridge, and Missy (Bob) Arguilla of Girard; 9 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Dallas Heslop, and Ralph Heslop, sisters, Grace Groom, Evelyn Aites, and Margaret Blose. Services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 11 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5 to 7 PM.
