Virginia Mae ( Boop) Reapsummer, 94, formerly of Girard, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Liberty Health Care Center. Virginia was born November 10, 1922 in Girard, Ohio. She had worked for the Woolworth Co. in Youngstown, and was a loving wife and mother. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Reapsummer, whom she married June 5, 1945 and died April 15, 1998, her parents; Lawrence and Edna (Walters) Boop, her sisters; Mary Polander, Hilda Glay and Pauline Gatti and a brother Lawrence Boop Jr. Virginia will be sadly missed by her children; Susan (John) Scheidly of Newton Falls, John "Jack" (Patty) Reapsummer of Hubbard and Tom (Natalie) Reapsummer of Girard, a sister Betty Thomas of Hubbard, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Private services were held at Girard City Cemetery Chapel. The family would like to thank Marylou Seydlorsky, Christina Thompon and Carrie Clayton and all the staff of Liberty Health Care Center.
