Walter L. White

Walter L. White, 68, of Weathersfield Twp., passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at his home. Walter was born February 16, 1950 in Girard, Ohio, the son of Walter and Ethel (Kincaid) White. He was a 1968 graduate of Girard High School, and obtained an Associate’s degree from YSU for electrical engineering. Walter worked for General Motors as a repair supervisor, and retired in 2006, after 35 years. He also owned and operated Countryside Landscaping. He was a member of Four Mile Run Christian Church, the Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Plymouth Club. Walter was an avid Volkswagen car collector. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 43 years, Cheryl L. (Bricker) White, his sons, Jonathan (Anna) White of Hudson, Ohio, and Chad White of Newton Falls, brother, James (Betsy) White of Poland, his sisters, Sandy (Charlie) Powell of Mineral Ridge, and Janet White of Girard, and three grandchildren, Emma, Nathan, and Rachel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 5:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
