Willard Edward Zimmerman

Willard Edward Zimmerman, 80, of Girard, died Monday June 10, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  He was born December 1, 1932 in Girard, Ohio the son of the late Doyle and Esther Clemens Zimmerman.Willard was a Army veteran, serving during the Korean war. He worked in the office for General Fireproofing for 39 years. He was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church, VFW in Girard, and as an avid nascar fan.  He is survived by his step-children, Deaun (David) Rhodes of Youngstown, Thomas (Elayne) Reifinger Jr. of Poland Ohio and Gail (Thomas) Householder of East Palestine, sister, Mary Jane (John) Campbell of Youngstown, brother, Larry Zimmerman of Savannah, Georgia, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jane Zimmerman and nephews, nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Laurine M. Freckleton whom he married August 8, 1998 and passed away August 24, 2012 and brother, Col (Retired) Lawrence Zimmerman.  Funeral Service will be held on Friday June 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel in Vienna.
