William E. "Boss Hog" Crain, 70, of Brookfield, died Friday November 11, 2011, at his residence. He was born July 4, 1941, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late William H. and Elizabeth Ann Blackburn Crain. Bill was a Owner Operator of Crain Construction and worked for Trumbull Co. Engineering for 10 years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, and enjoyed snowmobiling, polka music, and had a passion for collecting antiques and antique show cars. Bill was also recognized as the "Original Picker". He is survived by his children, Hope V. Sturgeon of Canfield, Heather Manchester of Chicago, Shawn Crain of Los Lumas, New Mexico, and Julian Navarro of Liberty Twp., brother, Dale M. (Marilyn) Crain of Vienna, and sister Cheryl (George) Vance of Uniontown, Ohio, four grandchildren, and former wives Virginia Kata, and Ruth Sparling Crain. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother James D. Crain, and former wife Margaret Miller. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday November 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery.
