Wylie M. Geho, formerly of McDonald, passed away on Saturday June 20, 2015 at Omni Manor Nursing Home. Wylie was born February 8, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Travis and Hazel Short Geho. Wylie served his country at a young age in the US Navy during the end of WW II. After the war he worked for Copperweld Steel, in Warren, for over 30 years, and retired as a roll shop superintendent. He married, the former, Rosemary A. Stevens, on June 30, 1945, and together they had four daughters. Rosemary passed away on February 5, 1995. Wylie loved spending time with his grandsons and enjoyed going to all of their sporting events. He loved spending winters in Florida and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Hazel "Dolly" Garland, whom he married March 2, 1996, his daughters; Judy (Larry) Schmidt of McDonald, Sherry (Russ) Lytle, of Louisville, Ky, Tish (Bill) Savin, of Niles, and Kim (Gary) Golden, of Canfield, 11 grandsons, 19 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Virginia Rittner, of Florida. He is also preceded in death by his 2 grandsons, and his brothers; Quentin, Clifford, Harold, and Travis. A Memorial service will be held on Monday June22, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
